I am an MD/PhD student and Vanier Scholar at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Supervised by Prof. Robert Rohling and Dr. Chris Nguan, I research intelligent ultrasound for chronic kidney disease and transplantation. I firmly believe in technology's ability to improve the lives of patients and healthcare providers.
My current research interests include ultrasound, artificial intelligence, chronic kidney disease (T2DM, IgAN, and SLE), kidney transplantation and medical trainee education.
My Master's work applied ultrasound, augmented reality and robotics to improve kidney cancer surgery.
Currently, I am a student affairs rep, concert go-er, and novice screenplay writer.
If you are a member of an underrepresented or minority group within STEM, and would like advice on anything that I may help with, please get in touch via email.
I'm a registered organ donor. I encourage you to become one at BC Transplant.
