I am both a Vanier Scholar and an MD/PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where I recently defended my PhD in April 2023. Under the guidance of Prof. Robert Rohling and Dr. Chris Nguan, my research has spanned quantitative kidney ultrasound, exploring scales from macro to micro. As a third-year medical student, I am presently immersed in my clerkship year, and I am passionate about harnessing technology to enhance patient care, develop groundbreaking therapeutics, and innovate medical devices.

My academic pursuits are currently focused on the intersections of ultrasound technology with artificial intelligence and machine learning, platform biotechnologies, and the education of medical trainees. My Master's thesis centered on leveraging ultrasound, augmented reality, and robotics to refine surgical procedures for kidney cancer.

If you are a member of an underrepresented or minority group within STEM, and would like advice on anything that I may help with, please get in touch via email.

I'm a registered organ donor. I encourage you to become one at BC Transplant.
